Trick or Treat?
The VSPN staff would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween! We hope that your clinics do not see any toxicity cases, especially chocolate and xylitol toxicity. The VSPN Notebook has a great Chocolate Toxicity Table and a great reference about Xylitol Toxicity.
If you would like to learn more about the topic of toxicology, check out this new VSPN CE course taught by VSPN Admin team member Brandy Helewa, CVT, RVT, AAS, VTS (ECC). Toxicology A-Z is RACE approved for veterinary technicians/technologists for 6 CEU’s. This four real time session course will cover presentations of toxic patients, the most common toxicities seen in veterinary patients, antidotes, decontamination methods, and other treatment modalities a veterinarian may prescribe for toxic patients.
