HOW TO SET UP "PET OF THE WEEK"

Follow these simple steps to set up a PET OF THE WEEK board in your hospital. The clients will like it because they can look at it in the exam room and think wow....that is neat; the winners will like it because they will feel special AND the winners will tell their friends.

I. Signage: Nominate your pet for PET OF THE WEEK.

II. Form (put in a literature holder next to last week's pet of the week):

Print your name, address, city, state, and zip code on the address label below and enter to win.

Put your answer to the question and the completed label in the toy ark on the counter in the lobby that states "NOMINTATE YOUR PET HERE."
Winners will be posted in the exam room and then later added to the lobby scrapbook.
Clients will receive a bumper sticker saying My Pet was Pet of the Week at Noe's Ark Animal Hospital.
If you win we will contact you by mail. You will fill out a form with a picture that will not be returned.

III. Notifying the winner: (I would put this winner form on Noah's Ark Paper, Dog paper, cute cat paper and a variety to add spice to the lobby book.)

Drop off the picture and the form the next time you are in the neighborhood and we will give your pet it's goodie bag prize with the pet of the week bumper sticker. Your pet's picture and information will be displayed in our lobby.

IV. Changing the pictures:

When the next person comes in we just take out the picture of the old winner, and replace with the new. The old picture is put in a plastic sheet protector in the photo album in the lobby. We don't even need to tell them how long it will be up. If no one responds for a while, then the one already up in the lobby is there a little longer. We can have 4-5 winners per week knowing not everyone will go to the effort to bring it down to the hospital. Clients will talk about this. And it shouldn't be too much work on us. The biggest expense will be the big envelope to mail it to the client and the pretty paper with sheet protector. But all we need to do is peel the sticker and we're done. I will stamp the outside of the envelope with a Noah's Ark stamp.

V. The goodie bag:

1. Have a gift basket for clients to choose from.
2. www.kissmfg.com has bumper stickers and other stuff we can have made to say "My Pet was Pet of the Week At Noe's Ark". They have those InkBend Jr.s pen in the shape of cats and dogs. as well.
3. Add some dog bones, personalized dish bowls with the hospital name etc..pads of pet paper.
4. I found these cute pads of paper this week at Michaels Craft Store for $1.00per pad.
5. All winners go into a drawing for PET OF THE MONTH. This special pet winnner would receive a 3 day 2 night vacation upgraded package at our hospital. The pet would get the pampered package weekend stay with us with upgraded cat condo or dog run. The Pet of the Month would get a Pet of the Month T shirt.
6. I am also going to post the pets on the website when I have that capability.
7. I will send a nice certificate with caligraphy with the pet's name.

VI. Another benefit: At the same time you can use this to highlight another important practice booster. In each exam room next to the PET OF THE WEEK information, put up a "How are We Doing" report card that the clients can take and fill out.
